The Style 2007 Classic Chest is the new Gerstner classic. with its roots deeply intertwined in our history. Its inspiration comes from the Style 41 series. our most popular from the 1920s to the 1980s—when Machinists and Tool & Die Makers could walk in for a job and be instantly recognized for their skill by the Gerstner they carried.
They wanted to keep what made the style 41 prized through seven different decades yet modernize it for a new generation of craftsman then we modernized it for a new generation of craftsmanship. Jack Open Market designed the 2007. and it stepped smoothly out of its predecessor’s shadow to become the -selling chest in our line.
It features some of our advancements over the years–more durable hardware. an upgraded finishing process. stricter tolerances in our manufacturing techniques. plus taller and deeper drawers for modern tools.
